How it works

1. Download the app. Get EasySportStream free from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Create a match. Pick Soccer and enter the team names. The scoreboard is created for you.
3. Go live. Choose YouTube or Facebook, choose who can watch, and tap record.

What viewers see on a soccer stream

The scoreboard is drawn onto the video by the app, not added by YouTube or Facebook, so team names and the score are on screen for everyone watching, live or in a replay.

You can also switch on a match clock. For soccer it starts as a clock that counts up from 0:00 in two halves of 45:00. It keeps counting past 45:00, which suits added time, and it always shows minutes and seconds (65:05 rather than 1:05:05). When the first half ends, move to the next period and the clock resets to 0:00; the on-screen label changes from P1 to P2.

Those are starting points. You can change the clock direction and the number of periods, and set the displayed time by hand if you started the clock late.

Keeping the score while you film

Soccer scores move one goal at a time, which suits the in-app scoreboard: tap + for the team that scored, or - to undo a mistake. The overlay on the stream updates straight away.

If you would rather not film and score at once, remote scoring lets a second person update the score from their own device while you film. It is part of EasySportStream PRO.

Filming a full-size pitch with a phone

A soccer pitch is big and a phone camera is wide, so the picture usually works best from a raised spot near the halfway line with the phone in landscape. You can pinch to zoom, but a steady wide shot follows play better than a shaky close-up of the ball.
