How it works

1. Download the app. Get EasySportStream free from Google Play or the App Store.
2. Create a match. Pick Tennis and enter the team names. The scoreboard is created for you.
3. Go live. Choose YouTube, choose who can watch, and tap record.

Tap the point, the app keeps the score

Choose Tennis when you create the match and the scoreboard scores point by point. After each rally you tap the player who won it. The app moves the game through 15, 30 and 40, handles deuce and advantage, adds the game to the set, starts a tiebreak at 6-6 and works out when the match is over.

Tapped the wrong player? Undo takes back the last point. A small marker shows who serves next and swaps by itself when a game ends, so you only think about it at the start of the match.

Rules that match your competition

The starting rules are best of three sets, advantage at deuce and a tiebreak in the deciding set. Before the first point you can change the number of sets, switch deuce to a single deciding point, or replace the last set with a match tiebreak, which is how many club leagues and doubles events finish.

Once the first point is played the rules are locked, so the score on screen cannot be reinterpreted halfway through a game. If you would rather type the games yourself, the hand-edited sets grid is still there.

What viewers see on a tennis stream

The app draws the scoreboard onto the video: the games in every finished set, the set in progress, the current game score for both players, and the serve marker. Anyone watching on YouTube, live or in a replay, can read the situation without asking.

The YouTube video also gets chapters: Match start, then Set 2, Set 3 and so on as each new set begins, so a long match is easy to scrub through afterwards.

No clock, so nothing to switch on

Tennis is not played against a clock, so the app starts it with the match clock off. You can switch it on if you want an elapsed-time reference for a long match.

Filming a tennis court from one end

The court is long and narrow, so a single wide shot from behind the baseline, raised above one end, usually covers more than a side-on view. Keep the frame wide enough that the ball stays visible at both baselines.

Does EasySportStream score tennis points automatically?

Yes. Choose Tennis, tap the player who won each point, and the app counts 15-30-40, deuce and advantage, games, tiebreaks and sets, and ends the match when it is decided. You can still switch to the hand-edited sets grid before the first point.

What if I tap the wrong player in a tennis game?

Tap Undo. It takes back the last point and puts the game, set and serve marker back where they were.

Can I change the tennis rules, such as sets or deuce?

Yes, before the first point: the number of sets, advantage or a single deciding point at deuce, and how the last set is decided. After the first point the rules are locked.

Is there a match clock for tennis?

Tennis starts with the match clock off, since play is not timed. You can still switch it on if you want an elapsed-time reference.

Can someone else keep the tennis score while I film?

Yes, with EasySportStream PRO: remote scoring lets a second person tap the points from their own device. Without PRO, the person filming scores in the app.

Can I keep the stream private to friends and family?
